Information on ringing of the Aquatic Warbler is currently being summarized by AWCT.

Colour ringing
Information below is taken from European colour-ring birding website: www.cr-birding.be

Currently, there are four colour-ringing projects with Aquatic Warbler in three countries, with the following colours used as country codes:

Country codes (from 2006)

Poland

  • Mauve
  • Dark-blue
  • Yellow

Germany

  • no scheme

Spain

  • Red
  • Light-green
  • White

Belarus

  • Orange
  • Black

The combinations of colour and metal rings mean the following:
Colour rings on the right leg = national identification.
Combination of colour rings on the left leg = individual/group combinations.
